Yu Shicheng

Professor Yu Shicheng, born in August 1954 in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, China, holds a doctoral degree. He served as the President and Party Secretary of Shanghai Maritime University and currently holds positions as Vice Chairman of the Expert Committee at the Shanghai International Shipping Research Center, doctoral supervisor at Shanghai Maritime University, and professor of Maritime Law. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the China Maritime Law Association, Vice President of the China International Private Law Society, Vice Chairman of the China Institute of Navigation, and Chairman of the Expert Committee at the Shanghai International Shipping Arbitration Court. Professor Yu has devoted himself to teaching and research in Maritime Law, international maritime judicial practices, and international shipping policies. He participated in the formulation of laws and regulations such as the Maritime Law of the People's Republic of China, the Port Law of the People's Republic of China, and the International Shipping Regulations of the People's Republic of China. Since 1994, he has been enjoying special government allowances.
